The Official 2015 TBR Pile Challenge

Posted 1 January 2015 in to be read /13 Comments

I participated in this challenge (hosted by Adam @ Roofbeam Reader) in 2011 and 2012. Now that I’m full swing into book blogging, I want to give it another go!

  1. The Silmarillion by J.R.R. Tolkien
  2. One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest by Ken Kesey
  3. The Power of Now by Eckart Tolle
  4. Three Day Road by Joseph Borden
  5. Predictably Irrational by Dan Arriely
  6. If I Stay by Gayle Forman
  7. Nothing to Envy by Barbara Demick
  8. The Replacement by Brenna Yovanoff
  9. Salt Sugar Fat by Michael Moss
  10. The Beginning of Everything by Robyn Schneider
  11. Empty Mansions by Bill Dedman
  12. Quiet by Susan Cain
  13. Brain on Fire by Susannah Calahan (alternate)
  14.  Thank-you for Your Service by David Finkel (alternate)

I think I’ve got a good selection this year. I am very interested in all the books on this list, even the alternatives. Have you read any of these books? Will you participate in the 2015 TBR Pile Challenge?

    1. Thank-you! One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is one of the first books I added to Goodreads in 2012. Hopefully this will finally be the year I get to it.

    2. That looks like a fun list– the four I've read (numbers 1, 2, 6 and 13) were all very good in their own way. I hope you ejoy them! My mother read me The Silmarillion out loud when I was ten or so….she was a good mother!

    3. I'm doing this challenge too! Looks like you have a GREAT list. I really liked Quiet and our library book club did Empty Mansions last year — I didn't take part, but everyone seemed to like it. Good luck with your challenge, and Happy New Year!

    4. Glad to hear it! That sounds like a great experience to have growing up. I can only imagine how awed I would have been to have heard such a story at that age. I didn't read anything about Middle-Earth until I was 12.

    5. Good luck with your challenge as well! I didn't realize Empty Mansions was such a popular book. I'm really looking forward to it now.
