November 2024 Month In Review

Posted 1 December 2024 in month in review /6 Comments

Where did November go? It was another one of those months that flew by. Mostly I have been absorbed by work uncertainty. My contract went until Nov 29. On Nov 7, news came down and it suddenly seemed unlikely that my contract would be renewed. On Nov 21, the contract got extended two weeks to Dec 13… now I continue to wait and see what’s next. Maybe I’ll have end up with extra times for blogging in December lol. [Dec 3 update: My contract has not been extended 😑] In happier news, I am currently (Nov 30 to Dec 4) on a little vacation in Vancouver! My mom and I are out there mostly so I can take my teenage cousin to see Billie Eilish. But we will keep busy visiting all my old favourite haunts around town.

Books Finished

  • The City in Glass by Nghi Vo
  • The Color of Revenge (Inkworld #4) by Cornelia Funke
  • Adrift in Currents Clean and Clear (Wayward Children #10) by Seanan McGuire
  • Misadventures in Ghosthunting by Melissa Yue
  • Midnight in Everwood by M.A. Kuzniar
  • I wish I could say I finished The West Passage by Jared Pechaček but I’ve hit a wall on that one about 200 pages in…

On My Radar in December

Nothing in particular! I signed up for the Broke and the Bookish’s Secret Santa and Christmas card exchange. While I have had fun getting everything together for that, I’ve been unable to mail anything as Canada Post has been on strike for a couple weeks now. It’s not looking like that will end any time soon. 🥲

How was your November? What new books, or bookish events, are you looking forward to this month?
