May was another busy month as I moved for a summer job, which I started on May 15. I am working as children’s programmer for a small public library out in the mountains. It’s basically a dream job for me – I’m having a great time so far! I left Vancouver on May 6 and visited my aunt and uncle in the Okanagan for a few days. I also found myself watching some hockey as the Winnipeg Jets made it through to the third round of playoffs for literally the first time ever. That was fun. I wish I had been in town to attend the street parties! Now that I’m settling in here and not having to pay attention to playoffs, I am getting back into my book blogging routine.

#WyrdandWonder Challenge Day 26: I've reread The Hobbit every year since I first read it when I was 12. #Tolkien pic.twitter.com/B6T0rpj3Tq

I had many people interested in the Tolkien Experience Project at #KZoo2018, but so far very little actual participation. Give it a go, any #Tolkien can participate, and it only takes as much time as you want to give it! https://t.co/GwSiBXho2P

#WyrdandWonder Challenge Day 7: I picked up this map of the Shire (annotated with Bilbo's favourite walks) when I visited WETA a couple years ago. Can't wait until I have a proper space to display it!! #Tolkien pic.twitter.com/dNjT74Pxzp

Recommended first fantasy read for #WyrdAndWonder challenge day 2: @neilhimself is a seminal author in this genre + I usually recommend Neverwhere for first time readers of his. pic.twitter.com/OhHJq8wzWR

"The ease with which we say boys don't read strips young men of a certain potential." Read this terrific @Booktrust blog by @JasonReynolds83 if you care about #literacy:https://t.co/nq5VoeU1hp pic.twitter.com/vcGpKCZJF3

Upcoming in June
I don’t have any new releases on my radar for June! :O Or events, for that matter. So my question is more pertinent than usual – What books, or bookish events, are you looking forward to this month?
