I missed this week’s Top Ten Tuesday because I’ve had a cold sapping my energy since Sunday night, but I had a two hour nap this afternoon and now I’m ready to blog! I wanted to participate in this topic (books by my favourite authors that I still need to read) because I actually have a Goodreads shelf for it. Links to Goodreads.

  1. The Lottery and Other Stories by Shirley Jackson
  2. The Year of the Death of Ricardo Reis by José Saramago
  3. An Artist of the Floating World by Kazuo Ishiguro
  4. The Opposite House by Helen Oyeyemi
  5. Palimpset by Catherynne M. Valente
  6. Bruiser by Neal Shusterman
  7. Odd and the Frost Giants by Neil Gaiman
  8. Beren and Luthien by J.R.R. Tolkien
  9. The Last Days of New Paris by China Miéville
  10. Dragon Rider by Cornelia Funke

This list is a good representation of my top 10 favourite authors as well! Have you read any of these books? What’s a book by one of your favourite authors that you’ve been meaning to read?

  1. I haven’t read any of these but Shirley Jackson is one of my favorite authors too, and I still haven’t read The Lottery and Other Stories (in her Library of America volume) — though I’m sure I’ve read some of the stories.
