I missed this week’s Top Ten Tuesday because I’ve had a cold sapping my energy since Sunday night, but I had a two hour nap this afternoon and now I’m ready to blog! I wanted to participate in this topic (books by my favourite authors that I still need to read) because I actually have a Goodreads shelf for it. Links to Goodreads.
- The Lottery and Other Stories by Shirley Jackson
- The Year of the Death of Ricardo Reis by José Saramago
- An Artist of the Floating World by Kazuo Ishiguro
- The Opposite House by Helen Oyeyemi
- Palimpset by Catherynne M. Valente
- Bruiser by Neal Shusterman
- Odd and the Frost Giants by Neil Gaiman
- Beren and Luthien by J.R.R. Tolkien
- The Last Days of New Paris by China Miéville
- Dragon Rider by Cornelia Funke
This list is a good representation of my top 10 favourite authors as well! Have you read any of these books? What’s a book by one of your favourite authors that you’ve been meaning to read?
I haven’t read any of these but Shirley Jackson is one of my favorite authors too, and I still haven’t read The Lottery and Other Stories (in her Library of America volume) — though I’m sure I’ve read some of the stories.
Oh, I am glad to encounter another Shirley Jackson fan who hasn’t read The Lottery. One day!
