Hello! You may have noticed I was catching up on blog hopping this past weekend. Now I’m catching up on my own blog. The past few weeks have flown by. The final week of August saw me wrap up my summer job (primarily in the form of a 3,000 word report :P). My parents drove me home from the mountains and visited until September 13. University classes started on September 3. I went to Victoria with my parents from the 7th to the 10th. And somewhere in there, I did a couple interviews and started a new job! But now my parents have left, school is in its third week, and I’m ready to settle into a routine. For the next couple months, I have a regular posting schedule though at a lower frequency than usual. Here’s a quick recap of my reading and posting last month (August):

Features
- I explored writing negative reviews, assigning star ratings, and who my blog audience is in this discussion post.
- For the third installment of “I Can’t Believe I Haven’t Read That Yet”, I discussed August’s pick, The Witch of Blackbird Pond, and opened voting on short non-fiction.
- Mom agreed to read a book out Arctic exploration for Family Reads! We discussed Jennifer Niven’s Ada Blackjack: A True Story of Survival in the Arctic.
- In one of the most significant moments of my reading life, I finished reading The Silmarillion. I didn’t review this classic but instead discussed why it was such a big deal for me to finally read it in a post title “Reading a Book for the First Time“.
How’s your September going? If you wrote a post in that past few weeks that you particularly liked, leave a link the comments so I can check it out!
