November was a better month than October – I did lots of steady work for uni. I’m taking a quick break from my final assignments to write this post. I’m almost done one paper (a report on eliminating overdue fines on children’s materials) but I have lots of work to do on my children’s literature paper (exploring the intersections of religion and fantasy in medieval middle grade). Both are due on Friday, then I head back to Winnipeg to start a two week practicum at the library 🙂 I’m excited to see snow! I’m paring down this post from what I usually write so I can get back to studying…
Books Finished
- Blanca & Roja by Anna-Marie McLemore
- The Map Thief by Micahel Blanding
- Perseverance by Tim Hague
- You Don’t Know Everything, Jilly P! by Alex Gino
Post Written
- I tried out reviewing in a different style when I reacted to Convenience Store Woman.
- I shared three reviews of #ownvoices picture books by an African-American woman, a Korean-American woman, and a Taiwanese woman.
- I finally posted “I Can’t Believe I Haven’t Read That” #4! It took me while to get around to reading The Map Thief but I did it ^^;
- I listed five of my favourite platonic relationships in fiction for Top Ten Tuesday.
I have no more 2018 releases on my TBR or events on my radar. Am I missing anything great?
What books, or bookish events, are you looking forward to this month?
