Hello! I’m back. Apparently I needed a break to readjust to working life. I still need to figure out how to balance blogging with my work from home days, in which I spend seven hours sitting at the computer.

- Across the Green Grass Fields by Seanan McGuire (new Wayward Children book)

How was your January? What new books, or bookish events, are you looking forward to this month?
I’m going to be reading The Witch’s Heart as well. Happy February!
Thank-you! I’ll keep an eye out for your review – I haven’t decided yet whether to prioritize The Witch’s Heart.
Love your walk post on IG! Happy February!
Happy upcoming birthday!
I like your twitter shares. I was gone all January and I can’t hope to scroll that far into the past on my feed. It’s nice to see what you’ve been up to during the month.
I’m really curious about The Witch’s Heart. I’ve been seeing it on a lot of TBRs, so I’m hoping that there’s going to be several reviews that I can wander through to see if it’s for me.
Thank-you! I’m glad you find the tweets interesting. I started including them because I realized there was a lot of neat stuff happening there, but some people aren’t on Twitter and the TL is so ephemeral anyway.
Same for me re: The Witch’s Heart. I have yet to see a review but will keep an eye out. Plot was enough for me to add to TBR – I’ll have to learn more about the prose/style before I decide whether to prioritize it.
I’m hoping to read What Big Teeth soon. All of these covers are so beautiful!
I’ll keep an eye out for your thoughts! It sounds neat, but I don’t often prioritize YA so it may be awhile before I get to it…
I was surprised by my January reading, and I think a lot of it has to do with how I set my reading goal.
Surprised in a good way, I hope? 🙂
Definitely.
Trying to read and live while also working from home is a HUGE challenge! I didn’t do well in that department last month at all. It was hard. Here’s hoping Feb will be better and March even better. You did pretty well, all things considered.
Thank-you! We’ve all got lots to adjust to, hey? I’ll just need to give it some time.
I haven’t been able to balance work and blogging last month, I’ve been entirely unbalanced.
I love the cover for What Big Teeth! Very striking, curious to see what you’ll think of it
Right! I thought January would be a nice month of resetting and rebalancing, but that’t didn’t happen, haha. Agreed re: What Big Teeth cover. I like the green tones.
Ooh, excited to hear what you and your mom thought of Biased! I was really impressed with it and would love to see it get more attention.
We discussed it for almost two hours last week! Great recommendation – it really is a strong read. It opened the door for us to consider our experiences and actions, including differences in how we grew up/were raised. Post coming at the end of this month or next 🙂
