Unread November

Hello, hello! The past few weeks I have busied myself with dusting off old drafts and scheduling new ones. I think I can manage blogging for the final two months of this messy year.

I’ve planned a series of posts called Unread November. I haven’t reviewed a book since May. I haven’t finished reading one since July*. It is a bit tricky to participate in book blogging when you aren’t reading books much. I have spent a lot of time lately thinking about all the books I might have read this year, if I had felt like reading. I don’t feel any shame about not reading. But I am keen to get the blog running again, and if I don’t have anything to say about books I’ve read, I can still celebrate books by highlighting the ones that have caught my eye at one time or another.

(I’m also using this month to clear out drafted posts from earlier in the year, so you’ll get a mishmash of content.)

I’ve written four posts that will go live each Sunday in November with the following topics:

  • 2021 releases
  • Middle grade titles
  • Books I own
  • Books from past TBR posts

I don’t have enough clout or energy to make this a proper event, but I imagine some of you might feel similarily about the books you’ve left unread this year. If you would also like to write something in November on this topic, feel free to use the banner above with a link back here and share your post in the comments. Here’s to that to that timeless refrain: so many books, so little time.

  1. I have really been a mood reader myself this year. I like your idea of Unread November, and although my November is already busy, I feel like December would be a good month for me to play catch up:-)
