My Wyrd & Wonder Plans

Posts

I casually participated in Wyrd & Wonder back in 2018 (I posted a lot of fatnasy reviews that May). Since I’m still off work and expect to be for all of May, I’m ramping up my participation. These are the posts I have planned so far:

TBR

Because my access to books is currently limited to my library’s ebook collection and because I am even more of a mood reader than usual these days and because I already have May TBR for Ramadan Readathon, I’ve chosen just two books for my Wyrd & Wonder TBR. (I’m not sure yet if I will participate in the readalong. There’s about a four week wait for my library’s copy.)

Bridget Collins’ The Binding has been on my TBR since before it was released. A post by E. @ Local Bee Hunter’s Book Nook recently convinced me to place a hold (ETA three weeks). The second title I’ve selected was not my first or even fourth choice, but it’s the earliest available through my library. Robin McKinley’s The Outlaws of Sherwood has a two week wait time.

Will you be celebrating fantasy with Wyrd & Wonder? What are your favourite fantasy reads?

  1. This is such a fun idea, I’ll have to give it a try! I must admit I’m pretty bad at keeping up with new releases, so this would be good motivation to seek out some new books 🙂

  2. Wyrd and Wonder has crept up on me this year, WHAT IS TIME!?!?! Thanks for posting about the event to get me to remember events and I am going to fit in some fantasy! I’ve heard good things about The Binding so I am interested to hear your thoughts.

  3. This is so neat! I’m not sure I’ll participate since I’m not usually a big fantasy fan but one of the people in my book club was just recommending The Goblin Emperor, it’s her all-time favourite book

  4. Thanks for visiting my blog, Jenna! I’m excited for Wyrd and Wonder. I would love to find time to read The Binding, I’ve heard good things about it😁
