Overview
My December started with a job interview and ended with an offer of returning to the job I left in March. 😄 This week I return to being a FT children’s librarian, at the location where I previously worked for five months. I dreamed that would happen but never imagined it would. You should have seen me dancing around my apartment when I go the news…
As for Christmas holidays – of course, I had to hunker down here and not return to my hometown to see family. This is the second time in my life I’ve been away from home at Christmas. I learnt from the first time (which was pretty miserable) and made plans to make this time far more enjoyable. I checked into a hotel with a view and enjoyed a few days of video calling family, reading books (Nevermoor 🥰), and gazing out the window. So between that wee holiday and the job news, 2020 finally ended on a high note for me!

How was your December? What new books, or bookish events, are you looking forward to this month?
Congrats on getting your job back! We have some similar January books, I hope we both enjoy them😁
Thanks so much! 🙂
Congratulations on your job! I just cannot understand why one would have to interview for it – the people should know you already?
Thank-you! I wish it was that easy, haha. There’s a lot of factors I don’t want to get into here but the short of it is: I’m not the only qualified internal applicant.
So much happened! Happy New Year!
Happy New Year! 🙂
Congrats again on the job! What a way to end the year! December marked my move back to Vancouver and I’m really happy to be back
Thank-you! 😊 And welcome back! Are you living in the same area as where you were previously, or ready to explore somewhere new?
I’m in a new spot this time! Exploring West Van for the time being
Oh, hurray! I’m so glad you got your job back!!
Thank-you! Some good news at last…
