How to Nominate
Nominations for the Cybils Awards are currently open until October 15. Anyone can nominate. The nomination criteria is as follows:
- Books must be published between 10/16/2021 and 10/15/2022.
- Books must be written for a youth audience.
- The books must be published in the US or Canada.
- Bilingual books are accepted.
- ONE nomination per category.
- A book can only be nominated 1 time, and
- you can only nominate 1 book in a category.
- ANYONE can nominate a book.

Middle Grade Speculative Fiction
This year, I am a round one judge for the middle grade speculative fiction category. I will be part of a team that reviews all the nominated titles and creates a shortlist for the second round judges. Today I’m sharing some middle grade speculative fiction titles that have yet to be nominated. Please do check to see if your favourite MG spec fic from the past year has been nominated – there’s a good chance it hasn’t yet! If it has, here are some other titles you can consider nominating:
