One goal I have this year is to increase the number of middle grade novels I read. I’m aiming for one title per week. In order to achieve this goal, I’m taking advantage of ‘suspended holds’. Happy New Year! Today the 2018 Cybils (Children’s and Young Adult Bloggers Literary Awards) finalists are announced. I’m ready to kick into gear in my role as a round two judge in the middle grade speculative fiction category. December 2018 Month in Review

December was a whirlwind of a month! I spent the first week writing my final papers. I flew home on December 8 (Saturday) and started a practicum at the public library on December 10. That ran until December 21. My best friend came home that day, then came Christmas, and now I’ve got two weeks of holidays but those two weeks have flown by fast and I’ll be heading back to Vancouver on Saturday!
